To complete installation of a water tap on your property, be advised that it is your responsibility to complete the following before installation can proceed:
It is the responsibility of the property owner to hire a licensed plumber to install the water tap and all required connections into our water main. The property owner will pay directly to the licensed plumber the following:
Other requirements to note with a Water Tap installation:
Please note: property owners are required to turn their drain waste valve off supplying water to their cabin anytime their property is going to be vacant for over 24 hours in order to prevent unnecessary water loss due to unexpected leaks that can arise.
- Complete a Water Tap Permit Application (see below to download) and email to Don Pengelly at [email protected].
- $500 reimbursement payment to Cloud Country West POA Unit 1 for providing to the property owner the required equipment and material to install the water tap. These materials include:
- Saddle clamp
- Corp stop valve
- Curb stop valve
It is the responsibility of the property owner to hire a licensed plumber to install the water tap and all required connections into our water main. The property owner will pay directly to the licensed plumber the following:
- The cost of all labor to install water piping from our water main to their cabin
- The cost of providing and installing a drain waste valve to be located exactly 18" from our curb stop valve. This required drain waste valve is for property owners use in cutting off water to their property
Other requirements to note with a Water Tap installation:
- Cloud Country West POA Unit 1 requires that all water supply lines from our corp stop valve to our curb stop valve be installed at least 36" deep below the surface of the ground and backfilled with sand
- The water supply line from our curb stop valve to the cabin is recommended to be at least 30" below the surface of the ground for freeze protection.
